Geralt is a mutant professional monster hunter, but what makes him memorable is the exhausted wit under the gravel voice and swordwork. CD Projekt Red's games translated Andrzej Sapkowski's books into a game character who could carry both grim politics and tavern-level sarcasm without tonal collapse. By The Witcher 3, Geralt had become one of the few RPG protagonists who felt authored enough to be specific and flexible enough to remain player-guided.
