Post
The long-stranded Wii sequel finally joined Switch officially instead of living as the missing half of every Galaxy conversation.
This Switch rerelease brings Galaxy 2's denser, idea-per-minute platforming to modern hardware with the kind of clean presentation fans had been requesting for years. More than almost any other Mario port, it feels like Nintendo fixing an omission in public.
Example
For a decade-plus, one of the most common Mario preservation complaints was simply that Galaxy 2 had been left behind. This release ends that argument.
Why it matters
It matters because it restores a major Wii-era Mario pillar to the active catalog and makes the 3D canon less awkwardly fragmented.
